HSE MIEM, an institution with 58 years of history, prepares specialists for high-tech industries. The MIEM teaching staff includes one RAS academician, four RAS corresponding members, and 34 winners of the State Prize of the Russian Federation. It also has developed close ties with leading industry institutions, including RAS institutes, global companies such as National Instruments, InfoWatch, Zyxel, QNAP and Altium Limited, as well as laboratories equipped with the latest technologies, e.g., 3D visualization, laser technologies, telecommunications, cybersecurity systems, etc., allowing MIEM to train world class experts and specialists.
The second Indo-Russian Education Summit (IRES 2026) took place in New Delhi on May 28–29. This year, the event brought together more than 70 leading Russian and Indian universities. Representatives from HSE University’s Moscow and St Petersburg campuses introduced prospective students to the university’s educational opportunities at the exhibition and shared their experience in developing Russian–Indian academic cooperation.
Forbes Education has published its ranking of the top 20 Russian universities with the strongest reputations among employers. As in recent years, HSE University secured first place with a reputation index of 98 points. In addition, 67.2% of employers stated that they trust the quality of education provided by HSE University, an increase of three percentage points compared with last year.
On May 26, 2026, the central atrium of the building at 11 Pokrovsky Bulvar will host the annual large-scale festival of engineering developments created by project teams from the HSE Tikhonov Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics (HSE MIEM). The programme includes presentations of the best student technological projects, stands from partner companies and joint workshops, a lecture series featuring practising engineers, a round table on the development of engineering education, and presentations of MIEM master’s degree programmes.
