Administration
The School of Applied Mathematics was created in 2015. Our educational programmes focus on the development of control systems and information processing, as well as modern methods of mathematical and computer modeling. The School implements master’s programmes in ‘Information Management’ and ‘Processing Systems in Engineering’.

Only three of the Top-10 Russian universities, HSE, Tomsk State University, and MEPhI, managed to improve their positions compared with last year. HSE moved up from 63rd to 62nd place in the ranking.

Russian Presidential grants for first year BA students at Russian universities have been awarded for the first time for the 2015/2016 academic year. HSE students were among the top recipients.
From May 30 to June 19 students can vote for HSE’s best teachers of the academic year. This year there is no need to come to the university to vote. Students and alumni can submit their scores online via LMS.
On May 24, 2016 a meeting of the rector of HSE Ya.I. Kuzminov and the management of National Instruments (USA) resulted in a memorandum of cooperation. The global objective is the creation of "National Center for Engineering and Commercialization of Research and Development" on the basis of Higher School of Economics.
